A tasty breakfast favorite.

Shopping List:

3 Tablespoons of unsalted butter

2 Eggs

2 Cups of Heavy Cream (16 oz.)

2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract

1 Orange

1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon

1 Tablespoon of White Sugar

1 Teaspoon of Kosher Salt

1 Loaf of bread, any kind will work, Texas Toast or Brioche works best


Equipment Needed:

Large Griddle (cast iron, electric) or a large saute pan d2 sm1 (because of the weight)

Measuring Spoons ( Tablespoon and Teaspoon) d1_sm1.jpg

Zester d2 sm1 (because of the sharp edges)

A large spoon or whip for stiring d1_sm1.jpg

Prepare the Following Items: Instructions

Zest 1 Orange d2 sm1

 Instructions:

1. Beat 2 eggs in a large bowl d1_sm1.jpg

2. Add the rest of the ingredients exceptt for the butter and mix thorughly until combined d1_sm1.jpg

3. Heat your griddle or saute pan over medium heat and melt 3 Tablespoons of butter d2 sm1 (because of the use of hot objects)

4. Soak a slice of bread in the liquid mixture for about 1 minute until the bread has absorbed some of the liquid d1_sm1.jpg

5. Place soaked slice of bread on griddle or in pan and cook each side until golden brown (about 2 minutes per side) d2 sm1 (working with hot objects)

6. Repeat steps 1-5 until you have desired amount of servings

Notes/ Suggestions:

 Add 1/4 cup of grand marnier, or amaretto

Coat outside edges of bread with sliced almonds
